I just received an email from the Israel PTO: there’s a widespread problem with the Ministry of Justice’s computer system, as a result of which users the ILPTO’s systems can’t generate new documents (like status reports on pending applications) or look at existing documents. For Submissions that include attachments, the system is not generated submission receipts. Such submission receipts will be generated retroactively, showing the actual date of submission (or payment), once the system is fixed.
I don’t know when the difficulties started, but as I have been a persistent critic of the ILPTO for failing to notify users when a problem has been detected, I commend the ILPTO for posting this notice. Now if you could also have someplace on your website that lists system IT problems (a banner notice would be best), that would be super.
